1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of https://kwicspace.co.za and every service you buy from KwicSpace (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2021/820233/07), trading as KwicSpace and formerly known as The Kitchen Wrap Company ("we", "us", "our"). "You" means the person or business placing the order.
By booking a site visit, paying a deposit, subscribing, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms together with our Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA") or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. What we provide
We supply and install architectural films and related interior finishes, and we sell training, platform subscriptions and prepaid credits. A full breakdown of every item you can pay us for, with prices and delivery times, is set out on our What We Sell page, which forms part of these Terms.
All work is carried out in South Africa by our own teams or by accredited Kitchen Wrap Pros working under our quality standards.
3. Estimates, site visits and quotations
- Online estimates are indicative only. They are based on the information you supply and do not bind either party.
- A site visit is booked and paid for in advance. The fee depends on your district (see Service Areas) and is deducted in full from your final project quotation.
- A formal quotation is issued after the site visit. It is valid for 14 days and is based on the dimensions and surface areas recorded; final measurements are confirmed on site before work begins.
- Surface areas not listed in the quotation are charged as additional cost. Prices may change if work is carried out in phases.
- Cupboard carcasses and doors are wrapped on the outside only, unless inside wrapping is expressly quoted.
4. How a contract is formed
A binding contract comes into existence when you pay the deposit on a quotation (or, for training, subscriptions and credits, when your payment is successfully processed). Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of the quotation and of these Terms.
We may decline or cancel an order before work starts — for example where the site is unsafe, the surfaces are unsuitable for wrapping, the area falls outside our service coverage, or a payment cannot be verified. If we do, you receive a full refund of everything you have paid for that order.
5. Prices and payment
- All prices are in ZAR (South African Rand) and include VAT at 15% where VAT applies.
- Installation projects are paid in three instalments: 60% deposit on acceptance, 20% on delivery of materials and commencement of work, and the 20% balance on completion (C.O.D.).
- Site visits, training deposits, subscription fees and credit bundles are payable in full at the time of booking or purchase.
- We accept debit and credit cards (processed by Paystack), instant EFT (Ozow), PayJustNow instalments and bank transfer. Card details are captured on the payment provider's secure, PCI-DSS compliant page — we never see or store your full card number.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time as described in our Cancellation Policy.
- All goods supplied remain our property until they have been paid for in full.
- Work will not commence, and materials will not be ordered, until the deposit reflects in our account.
6. Scheduling, access and your responsibilities
Work commences 5 to 17 working days from receipt of the deposit; specific dates and timelines are agreed with you. So that we can work safely and on time, you agree to:
- give our team access to the property at the agreed times, and to water and electricity;
- clear cupboards, countertops and work areas of contents, appliances and valuables beforehand;
- tell us about any defect, damage, water ingress, borer, rot or previous repair affecting the surfaces to be wrapped;
- confirm colours, finishes and layouts before materials are ordered — films are cut to order and cannot be returned once cut;
- ensure that anyone else living at or using the property is aware the work is taking place.
If we cannot start or continue because access is not available, the surfaces were misrepresented, or the site is unsafe, we may reschedule and charge the reasonable cost of the wasted visit.
7. Changes to the work
Any addition or change to the scope after acceptance (extra surfaces, a different film, additional units) is quoted separately and must be approved by you in writing before we proceed. Changes may affect both the price and the completion date.
8. Workmanship, materials and guarantee
- We use premium-grade architectural films and apply them using the manufacturer's recommended methods.
- Completed installations are inspected and signed off, and a warranty certificate is issued on completion. The certificate sets out what is covered and for how long.
- Our guarantee covers defects in our workmanship — for example lifting, bubbling or seam failure caused by incorrect application under normal domestic use.
- It does not cover damage caused by impact, heat, sharp objects, harsh or abrasive cleaning products, steam, water ingress, structural or substrate failure, or alterations made by anyone else after we hand over.
- Wrapping is a surface finish. It does not repair substrates that are already swollen, rotten, borer-damaged or delaminating, and minor substrate imperfections may remain visible through the film.
- Colours and textures may vary slightly from screen images, printed swatches and previous batches.
- If something is not right, tell us within 7 days of completion and we will inspect and, where the fault is ours, repair or redo the affected area at no charge. See the Refund Policy for how remedies work.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation rights, notice periods and the handling fee that applies when an order is cancelled after materials have been allocated are set out in our Cancellation Policy. How and when money is returned is set out in our Refund Policy. Both form part of these Terms.
10. Accounts, platform and credits
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that takes place under your account.
- Estimate credits are for use inside your account, have no cash value and are not transferable between accounts.
- Installer and partner subscriptions are for the subscribed business only and may not be shared or resold.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used unlawfully, fraudulently, or in breach of these Terms.
- We may change platform features, plan inclusions and prices; material changes are communicated before they take effect and never apply to work already quoted and accepted.
11. Intellectual property and photography
All content on this website — text, images, designs, logos and software — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
We may photograph completed work for our portfolio, website and social media. Photographs never include your name, street address or any other personal detail, and you may ask us not to photograph your project at any time before completion by emailing hello@kwicspace.co.za.
12. Liability
We are liable for loss or damage we cause through our own negligence while performing the work, and nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as loss of profit or loss of use), for damage to items you were asked to remove but did not, or for pre-existing defects in the substrate. Except where the CPA provides otherwise, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work giving rise to that claim.
13. Complaints and disputes
Please raise any complaint with us first — email hello@kwicspace.co.za or call +27 10 541 2429. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 10 business days.
If we cannot resolve the matter, you may refer it to the National Consumer Commission or any other forum available to you under the CPA. Your right to do so is not affected by these Terms.
14. Privacy
We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. General
- Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
- Changes: we may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order. The "last updated" date above shows when this page last changed.
- Force majeure: we are not in breach if performance is delayed by events beyond our reasonable control (for example load-shedding, extreme weather, supply shortages or civil unrest). We will tell you promptly and agree a new date.
- Severability: if any clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in force.
- Whole agreement: your quotation, these Terms and the policies linked above make up the entire agreement between us.
